The Sacramento Waldorf School welcomes inquiries and applications for admission from prospective families. We seek to admit eligible students of all origins, beliefs, races, and faiths. We are a coeducational kindergarten through grade twelve school located in Fair Oaks, on the eastern side of Sacramento. Our beautiful campus overlooks the American River and includes a small farm, athletic fields, a gymnasium/performance hall, playgrounds, and classrooms. Our program is developmental in approach, with a full integration of the arts in all subjects. All students benefit from individual attention from our dedicated, professional faculty and support staff. Our high school program is academically challenging: over ninety percent of our graduates attend four year colleges. In addition to the regular school program, we offer a wide range of extra-curricular activities including sports, music, drama, and robotics.
We encourage you to visit our beautiful campus to learn more about our school and educational program. We will conduct campus tours this winter and spring on the following dates. 2007 Tour Schedule Kindergarten - 10:30am: Oct. 9th, Nov. 6th & Dec. 11th Grades (1-8) - 8:15am: Oct. 11th, Nov. 7th & Dec. 6th High School - 8:15am: Oct. 4th, Nov. 8th & Dec. 13th
Please call the school at (916) 961-3900 to join a tour, or to arrange an alternative time if those listed are not convenient for you. A member of our staff will be happy to answer questions, show you around the school, and allow you to have a glimpse into our classrooms. In addition to tours, we have a number of enrollment events including kindergarten and high school information evenings and open houses. Currently we invite you to attend: Introduction to Kindergarten - Oct. 25 & Nov. 13 7:30 - 9:00pm Join us for an informative evening to introduce prospective parents to the Kindergarten program (Pre-K and K). Adults only please. Our application process includes the completion of application forms and an interview with parents and student. Aside from the kindergarten, applicants who are being considered for a class will normally be asked to visit school for at least one day. We welcome applications throughout the year, assess an individual's suitability for our program, and admit qualified students as space permits. If an applicant is qualified to join a class but there is currently no space available, we will place the applicant in a waiting pool and will update the application when space opens up. Factors considered in the admission process include the student's ability to undertake the program, previous school records, and the family's interest in and support of Waldorf education.
We are currently accepting applications throughout the school for the 2007-08 school year where space is available.
