Parent Education

The Sacramento Waldorf School recognizes that parenting can be a challenging journey and therefore we supports parents from within the School, as well as from the greater Sacramento area, by offering parenting education through class meetings, special workshops, Speaker Series events, open houses and more.

Following are parent education events open to all adults wishing to attend. Unless otherwise noted, they are complimentary.

Waldorf 101/102

This is a drop-in series of lectures and workshops open to all adults wishing to broaden their understanding of Waldorf education. Waldorf 101 is offered on Wednesday mornings from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. in the Library.  The dates of these sessions will be:

Waldorf 101: TBA

Waldorf 102: TBA

Speaker Series

Parent education is enhanced by our evening Speaker Series events, in which noted experts and faculty members present important information and new findings on topics relevant to parents.  Recent Speaker Series topics have included what happens to Waldorf students when they graduate, discussing sexuality with your children, Waldorf questions and myths, and healthy movement for children.
