The Sacramento Waldorf School offers a curriculum designed to educate the entire human being: mind, body, and heart. Sacramento Waldorf School is fully accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) and by the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA), of which it is a full member.

The Sacramento Waldorf School uses a mixed term schedule. The Carnegie unit is used as a basis for the course credit assignments with 10 credits = 1 unit (year) of course work. Credits are awarded as follows:
Main Lessons (intensive Blocks/various subjects): 5 (105 min) periods per week/3.3 credits per class
Quarter Courses (English, Art, Civics): 4 periods per week/ 2.5 credits per quarter
Semester Courses (Music, Foreign Language, Math, US History, Electives): 5 credits per semester
Atypical Courses (Health, Computer Science, Seminars): 1-2 credits per class
