    Sacramento Waldorf School is seeking a thoughtful, experienced, and collaborative High School Administrator to help lead and support our high school program. This leadership role is central to fostering a nurturing, inclusive, and mission-aligned environment for students, faculty, and families, while supporting the continued growth and vitality of our high school community.

    The High School Administrator is responsible for the successful planning, organization, and supervision of the high school to ensure a quality Waldorf education for all high school students in alignment with the Mission, Vision, and Values of Sacramento Waldorf School. This position provides leadership for faculty and staff, supports student development, partners with families, oversees key high school operations, and collaborates across the school community to uphold the principles of Waldorf education.

    Education and Related Work Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

    • At least 5 years of experience as a Waldorf teacher.

    • At least 5 years of experience managing administrative and operational aspects in an educational or nonprofit setting.

    • Intimate knowledge of Waldorf education and the principles of Anthroposophy.

    Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:

    Sacramento Waldorf School seeks a creative and enthusiastic Handwork Teacher to join our faculty. The successful candidate will inspire students through the practical arts while supporting their intellectual, emotional, and physical development in accordance with Waldorf educational principles. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative faculty community dedicated to nurturing creativity, craftsmanship, and a lifelong love of learning.

    Position Summary:

    The Handwork Teacher is responsible for teaching a comprehensive handwork curriculum for students in grades 1–8. The teacher will introduce students to knitting, crocheting, sewing, embroidery, and other fiber arts while fostering creativity, concentration, fine motor development, perseverance, and appreciation for craftsmanship. The Handwork Teacher works collaboratively with colleagues and contributes to the broader life of the school through festivals, events, and community activities.

    Education and Related Work Experience:

    • Experience teaching handcrafts such as knitting, crocheting, sewing, embroidery, or other fiber arts.

    • Experience working with children in educational settings.

    • Familiarity with Waldorf education philosophy preferred.

    Sacramento Waldorf School is seeking a warm, organized, and collaborative Lower School Coordinator & Registrar to join our dedicated administrative team.     The Lower School Coordinator & Registrar is a key member of the Lower School team, helping to ensure that the daily rhythms of school life run smoothly while serving as a trusted resource for families and faculty. We are seeking a candidate who enjoys building relationships, managing multiple priorities, and contributing to a thriving educational community.

    The Lower School Coordinator & Registrar serves as the operational center of the Lower School, supporting students, families, faculty, and administration while ensuring the smooth daily functioning of the Lower School office. This position combines student records management, registrar responsibilities, office coordination, faculty support, parent communication, event coordination, attendance tracking, and calendar management.

    Working closely with the Lower School Administrator, the Lower School Coordinating Committee & Registrar helps create a welcoming, organized, and responsive environment for the school community. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, service-minded, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism. Knowledge of or interest in Waldorf education is preferred.

    Sacramento Waldorf School is seeking a dynamic and versatile Drama Teacher to lead our theater arts program through a unique program of curricular instruction and production. This role is designed for a theater professional who is equally passionate about the foundational “process” of acting in the classroom and the high-energy “product” of after-school performances.

    At Sacramento Waldorf High School, theater is an opportunity for students to develop confidence, creativity, collaboration, empathy, and presence through meaningful artistic experiences. The ideal candidate will bring warmth, artistic vision, and enthusiasm to the classroom while creating an inspiring and supportive “theatre home” for students of all experience levels.

    This is an exciting opportunity to guide students through both classroom instruction and one of the most beloved traditions of the high school experience: the annual Senior Play.

    Position Summary:

    The Drama Teacher will facilitate drama blocks as part of the school’s rotating arts curriculum. Each grade level (9–12) participates in a concentrated 8–9-week session, ensuring that every student in the high school receives dedicated theater instruction annually.

    Responsibilities include designing and implementing curriculum focused on improvisation, theater games, ensemble building, staging, and vocal projection while adapting instruction to meet the developmental stages of each grade level, from introductory confidence-building in 9th grade to advanced performance techniques in the upper grades.

    The Drama Teacher will also act as the primary director and mentor for the annual Senior Play. This includes selecting a script that honors the specific dynamic of the graduating class and guiding students through a full-scale performance process as a capstone to their arts education.

    The successful candidate will work collaboratively with faculty, music directors, choreographers, and parent volunteers while balancing the logistics of rotating classroom instruction and after-school rehearsals.

    This is a part-time regular position with a 42.78% FTE load

    Education and Related Work Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Theater Arts, Education, Performing Arts, or a related field preferred

    • Experience teaching drama and directing theater productions with adolescents required

    • Waldorf training or experience strongly preferred

    • Strong background in directing both straight plays and musical theater

    • Experience engaging students of all experience levels in a classroom setting

    Sacramento Waldorf School is a vibrant, community-focused school that fosters a nurturing and creative environment for both students and staff. We are currently seeking enthusiastic, reliable individuals to join our team as substitutes in our Extended Day Program. This role offers a unique opportunity to support our students in an enriching after-school setting, helping to create an enjoyable and engaging experience during the after-school hours.

    As an Extended Day Substitute, you will provide valuable support in our after-school program by ensuring a safe, fun, and engaging atmosphere for children. Your role will include supervising students in various activities, facilitating play-based learning, and stepping in when regular staff members are unavailable. Ideal candidates will be flexible, enjoy working with children, and have a caring, dependable nature. Shifts typically range from 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM on weekdays, with opportunities to work based on your availability. Previous experience with children is helpful, but not required.

    Education and Related Work Experience:

    • Experience working with children in a school, camp, or childcare setting is preferred, but not required.

    • A strong interest in working with children and fostering a positive, supportive environment.

    Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
